Welcome to Australia’s Pod of Science, part of the Pint of Science festival held across Australia and the greater world from the 13th to the 15th of May in 2024. This time we were joined by Dr Stevan Nikolin, Neuroscience Fellow at the Black Dog Institute. Black Dog Insitute is a leading Australian organisation that conducts research, provides educational resources and delivers clinical mental health services.
In his work, Stevan attempts to understand how depression affects brain activity, and how this understanding can be leveraged to develop new treatments. This understanding is crucial for us to better treatments for depression.
